New S0E machine

The S0E is the machine we build new today: original Deckel design, and the larger of the two sizes in terms of equipment. As a bench or pedestal version.

  • Enclosed housing with integrated dust extraction
  • Axially adjustable grinding spindle, precision bearings
  • Dressing device and tool kit included

Why only the S0E now

The S0 and S0E ran side by side for decades: the same design, the same precision, different equipment. We have focused new production on the S0E because it can do everything the S0 can – and quite a bit more.

That does not mean the S0 is left behind. We keep the machines out in the field running: spare parts and overhauls to the original standard are available from us for as long as they are needed.

What more the S0E can do

Four differences you notice in everyday work when precision, complex grinds or higher volumes are called for.

Enclosed housing with extraction

Dust extraction is built in, so the grinding dust stays in the machine instead of on the workbench. On the S0, extraction is an accessory.

More than twice the motor power

0.55 instead of 0.25 kW. The speed stays more stable, even during longer grinding runs.

Axially adjustable grinding spindle

The spindle can be readjusted along its axis. This extends the adjustment range and saves reclamping.

Travel to both sides

10 mm each to the right and left instead of only to the right. More freedom with asymmetrical tool shapes.

What the S0E offers

  • Integrated dressing device
  • Precision bearings and precision grinding spindle
  • Wide adjustment range
  • Cup grinding wheel for HSS tools
  • Tool kit included
  • Bench or pedestal version

New only, S0E only

We no longer build the S0 new, and we do not offer used machines. If you want your existing machine running again, take a look at Overhaul and repair.

Technical data

The S0 values are shown alongside for comparison. Many of these machines are still running, and we keep them in operation with spare parts and overhauls – the machine we build new is the S0E. The data apply to both the bench and pedestal versions; accessories and special versions on request.

Frequently asked questions about the S0E

What is the difference between the S0 and S0E?

The S0E offers more degrees of freedom for setting up and has integrated dust extraction. The tool carrier can be moved 10 mm to each side instead of only to the right, the grinding spindle can be fed axially, and the housing is enclosed.

Technically, the S0E is also ahead on power: 0.55 kW compared with 0.25 kW. All values in direct comparison are shown in the table further up this page.
