Welding supervision by an International Welding Engineer (IWE)

Dipl.-Ing. Thomas Wegemann has been an International Welding Engineer (IWE) since 2008. As the responsible welding coordinator, he oversees all welding work at AKS, from weld-appropriate design to the finished seam.

What we weld for

Not all welding is the same

How to recognize a good weld, and what we look for in every seam:

  • Uniform seam width
  • Airtight and watertight seams
  • No end craters or excess weld metal
  • No surface cracks, no linear or angular misalignment

Systems for substances hazardous to water

If your project requires approval as a specialist company under § 62 AwSV (German Ordinance on Facilities for Handling Substances Hazardous to Water, formerly the Federal Water Act), we will obtain certification for it. We meet the technical requirements, so it is no obstacle – just get in touch with us early enough.
